Saudi Arabia is now one of the top countries in the world for security technology, with a 99% rating, said Khalid Al-Bakr, CEO of the Kingdom’s Quality of Life Program. He noted that the Ministry of Interior’s efforts have greatly improved public safety and the quality of life for both residents and visitors.

Al-Bakr also highlighted the Unified Security Operations Centers 911 in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Madinah, and Makkah as important parts of the Quality of Life Program. These centers generate high-quality data that not only supports planning but also enables faster responses to incidents, demonstrating a major technological advancement in the Kingdom’s security landscape.

“The integration of advanced technology into security services, including the use of body cameras for personnel, has played a crucial role in maintaining public safety and boosting trust in security operations,” Al-Bakr stated. He further emphasized that reporting crimes or violations through the 911 system now has an average response time of just two seconds, marking a significant leap in service efficiency.

The CEO said that the changes go beyond security. Technology has made public services faster and easier, including passport and national ID renewals, which residents can now complete quickly online.
