Egypt Wins Eight Golds And One Silver At Arab Wushu Kung Fu Championship

Background-

Egypt has claimed nine medals, including eight golds and one silver, at the seventh Arab Wushu Kung Fu Championship for juniors and youth in Tunisia.

Ten countries are competing in the event. Egypt entered 70 athletes from its national team and seven clubs.

Egypt’s gold medalists in Sanda include Malek Mohamed Adel Mohamed in the junior 39kg class, Yazan Ahmed Mohamed Abdo in the junior 48kg class, Hamza Osama Abdel Moneim in the youth 48kg class, Mohamed Medhat Ezzat in the youth 52kg class and Omar Mohamed Fathy in the youth 56kg class.

Nadine Ahmed Abdelwahid, Rehab Hassan Othman and Eman Mohieddin Ali also topped the podium in the youth 48kg, 52kg and 60kg classes. Ahmed Mohamed Abdelhalim Mourad added a silver in the junior 52kg class.

Nine more Egyptian athletes have reached the finals and will fight for gold, including Malek Abdelrahman Abdelhamid, Adam Mohamed Abdelaziz, Mariam Ehab Fathy and Joumana Mohamed Abdel Latif.

The championship features three competitions. They are the Arab National Teams Championship for youth in Sanda and Taolu, the Arab Clubs Championship for various age groups and the first Arab Youth Duan Bing Championship.

The Egyptian clubs on the roster are 6th of October Sporting Club, Alexandria Petroleum Club, National Bank of Egypt Club, El-Bitash Club and Ahly El-Malahah Club, along with two military institutions.
