Background

Global helicopter distributor Rotortrade has announced its entry into the Saudi Arabian market with the launch of a new maintenance, sales, and services hub in Riyadh. The company, based in Singapore, has teamed up with the Special Integrated Logistics Zone Co. (SILZ) to create the Rotortrade HeliPark facility.

The new hub will span around 6,000 square metres across three floors and will serve as Rotortrade’s regional operating base. It will offer aircraft sales, maintenance, repair, completions, and customer support services. The companies said the project aims to meet rising demand for advanced aviation services in the Kingdom.

The team expects to finish designing the facility by February 2026 and start construction shortly after. The project is scheduled for completion within the same year. The development follows Rotortrade’s acquisition by The Helicopter Co., which is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and forms part of the company’s wider global expansion strategy.

The Rotortrade HeliPark aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which focus on strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global aviation and logistics hub.

Rotortrade Founder and Chief Executive Officer Philippe Lubrano said the project reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. He said the facility will offer a unique experience by combining aircraft access, premium hospitality, and end-to-end services at one location.

SILZ Chief Executive Officer Fadi Al-Buhairan said the partnership supports the expansion of services at Riyadh Integrated and strengthens Saudi Arabia’s logistics ecosystem. He added that the project will help develop local technical skills, create jobs, and attract global aviation players.

The facility will feature multiple helipads, helicopter display areas, a full-service maintenance centre, and dedicated hospitality spaces for clients, government officials, and industry partners.
