Sérgio Matos, president of the Arab-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce, said the directory allows companies to identify certified suppliers, submit requests for quotations, and build commercial links between Mozambique and the Arab market.

Matos explained that exporters can list their products on the platform’s B2B marketplace, connecting them with serious buyers while digitally issuing certificates of origin to support smoother trade transactions.

Secretary of State for Industry Custódia Paúnde said the platform goes beyond a simple digital tool, describing it as a secure environment built to strengthen partnerships between companies and investors.

She called the portal a verified and trustworthy B2B marketplace that combines an investment desk with practical trade facilitation support for Chamber members.

Palestinian Ambassador to Mozambique Fayez Abdul Jawad praised the initiative for creating direct contact between investors and multiple economic sectors, including trade, agriculture and investment, calling it an important step toward broader economic collaboration.

The platform forms part of wider efforts to strengthen economic ties between Mozambique and Arab countries, with organisers aiming to expand opportunities for national exporters, encourage new business partnerships, and attract fresh investment into the country.
