Background :

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) has landed an ultra-mega contract from ADNOC Offshore for a project in the Middle East. The project will be implemented under a consortium, with LTEH Offshore being the main partner, responsible for the most significant share of the project.

Several offshore facilities are being developed in the contract. LTEH Offshore will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of new offshore facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure.

An important part of the fabrication will be done in the company’s advanced fabrication yards, it said. It will leverage the integrated EPCIC capabilities and experience in executing large offshore energy projects in the region.

L&T says that an ultra mega order is worth ₹15,000 crore plus. The project is expected to enhance the presence of the company in the Middle East and consolidate its position in the offshore energy market.

“The order is an indication of the trust that ADNOC Offshore has in the technical and implementation capabilities of L&T,” Chairman and Managing Director S. N. Subrahmanyan explained. Moreover, he reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s energy goals by offering strong offshore infrastructure.

LTEH Offshore provides EPCIC services for the offshore oil and gas industry. Over the past 40 years, it has completed projects such as fixed platforms, subsea pipelines, offshore construction of structures, as well as brownfield modification/decommissioning. The group also has their own engineering expertise and advanced fabrication facilities, as well as a specialized fleet of marine vessels.
