Background-
Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF) unveiled its 2026 China-Arab Business and Investment Report and revealed a strategic partnership with the World Bank on October 7 at Investopia Bridge 2026, held at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
SIEF, a strategic partner of Investopia, presented the report during the plenary session. UAE Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi and UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri were in the audience. SIEF and Investopia produced the flagship study together, with support from HSC Asset Management. It reviews economic collaboration between China, the UAE and the wider Arab world.
The Now Economy chapter examines logistics and aviation, energy and petrochemicals, real estate and construction, machinery and equipment, and culture and tourism.
The New Economy chapter moves on to clean energy and storage, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, trade finance and settlement systems, and mobility and electric vehicles. The report says ties are moving past traditional trade and energy toward joint ventures, local production, technology partnerships, financial innovation and third-market projects across the Global South.
Earlier in the day, SIEF held a CEO roundtable called “From Trade to Partnership.” Senior executives from China and Arab countries, including those from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Huawei, CICC and Dubai Silicon Oasis, discussed ways to turn commercial links into lasting investment.
SIEF and the World Bank also announced a Strategic Partnership in Understanding Risk with both ministers present. The pair will join forces on climate and disaster resilience, with Understanding Risk Abu Dhabi 2027 set as a key milestone.
